Dr. Tim Gibson is an Operational Advisor for Inner Product Partners with expertise in computer security, wired and wireless data networks, big data storage and management, multi-level security level data systems, and encryption systems. Dr. Gibson was a Program Manager for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for seven years where he focused on computer security and computer networks, starting new research to improve network performance, security, and content distribution.
While serving in the U.S. Army, he designed and implemented the CENTRIXS coalition data sharing system which is widely used by the U.S. military and its allies. Dr. Gibson retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel. In addition to the military and DARPA, Dr. Gibson has been the Technical Director for the National Security Agency’s Telecommunications Laboratory, the Cyber Security Director at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, the Chief Scientist for Cyber Systems at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, and a Senior Director at Intific, a Cubic subsidiary.
Dr. Gibson holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, and master’s degrees (Computer Science and History) from the University of Kansas. He completed his Doctorate in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
